If you submit our contact form, send a WhatsApp message, or call us, we collect:

  • Your property address or postcode (so we can quote travel and scope)
  • The details of your enquiry, including any photos or descriptions you choose to send

2.2 When you browse the site

We use Microsoft Clarity, an analytics service, to understand how visitors interact with the site. Clarity collects pseudonymous data including:

  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent
  • Mouse movements, scrolls, and clicks (heatmap data)
  • Approximate location (city or region level, derived from IP address)

Clarity does not collect your name, email, or any direct identifier. We do not use Clarity for advertising or to build a personal profile of you.

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote: lawful basis is performance of a contract (we are taking steps at your request to enter into a contract).
  • To deliver the electrical work you book: lawful basis is performance of a contract.
  • To meet our legal obligations (issuing NICEIC certificates, retaining records for tax and trade body compliance): lawful basis is legal obligation.
  • To improve our website (Clarity analytics): lawful basis is legitimate interests (understanding how the site is used to make it more useful).

We use the following third party processors:

We do not sell your data. We do not share data with advertisers. We do not use cross-site tracking for advertising purposes.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Contact form submissions and quote correspondence: kept for 6 years after the last contact, to meet HMRC record-keeping obligations for trade businesses.
  • Job records, certificates, and invoices: kept for 6 years from the date of completion (HMRC) or longer where required by NICEIC certification body retention rules.
  • Analytics data (Microsoft Clarity): automatically deleted by Microsoft after the retention period set by their policy (typically 12 to 18 months).

  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data (subject to our legal retention obligations above)
